VINIoT at EU Green Week

VINIoT project will be part of the EU Green Week at an event host by FEUGA. Project objective and first results will be introduced at first session on 9th June.

This session will focus on presenting agriculture and livestock projects that can contribute to reducing pollution on our planet. How? Reducing the use of pesticides, as the Horizon 2020-funded project IPMWORKS will demonstrate; increased digitization of the field, just as VINIoT puts into practice, or treating specific diseases that affect vineyards (VITICAST) or bees (VARROFORM).

Different projects in which FEUGA participates, both national and European, will present their contribution to the objective set by the European Commission of achieving zero pollution. The event will have simultaneous translation from Spanish to English and vice versa, making possible to follow it by a larger audience.

European Green Week 2021

The Green Week of the European Union 2021 is celebrated this year from May 31 to June 4, 2021, with associated events, scheduled throughout the European territory between May 3 and June 13.

The event covers topics such as air, water, land and food. Thus, other relevant initiatives for the European Green Deal will be discussed, such as climate initiatives, the future Strategy on Chemical Substances, and initiatives dedicated to energy, industry, mobility, agriculture, fisheries, health and biodiversity.

The presentation of these projects at the European Green Week offers the opportunity to see the complementarity between the different initiatives, as well as to highlight the role that Galicia plays in cross-border cooperation in terms of innovation and development towards a more sustainable society.
